The Clock Runs Backwards – What if Time Suddenly Changed Direction?
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Second by second, the clock dictates our lives. Always forward. Never back.
Until now.
"The Clock Runs Backwards" is a cinematic story without words about time, memory, and the fascinating idea of being able to reverse the course of things.
A distinct ticking and a mysterious piano motif form the musical heartbeat of the piece. Gradually, warm cellos, strings, and unusual backward sound structures are added. Melodies seem to dissolve and return, as past and present musically intertwine.
The tension grows. The orchestra expands. Time seems to spiral out of control.
Then everything begins to turn back.
Sound by sound, the musical layers disappear until almost the moment where it all began is reached again.
A final piano note.
A final tick.
Silence.
"The Clock Runs Backwards" is cinema for the ears – a musical journey through something we all know, yet can never hold onto: time.
