A Thousand Names for the One
How many names does that which humanity has sought for millennia have?
God. The One. Source. Spirit. Being. Consciousness. Light.
"A Thousand Names for the One" is a monumental musical journey through one of humanity's oldest questions: What connects us beyond religions, philosophies, science, and all the terms we use to try and describe the incomprehensible?
The song leads from ancient scriptures and temples out to the stars, to science, and to thinking machines – and finally back to humanity itself.
It does not proclaim a new religion nor claim a definitive answer. It asks a different question:
What if we could discover something common behind our different words and ideas?
The central idea of the song becomes its grand chorus:
A thousand names for the One.
A thousand paths through time.
A song about searching and doubt, about insight and connection – and about the possibility that the light we have sought outside ourselves for so long might already be shining within us.
Created from the book and thought project "The Divine Spark" by Manfred Harlos.
