Start into Freedom
"Start into Freedom" is a German pop-rock song about the dream of flying, the longing for freedom, and the magic of the North Sea.
Inspired by an actual ultralight flight over Norderney, this song takes you on a journey over the Wadden Sea, past the East Frisian Islands, the dunes, and the endless horizon. The wind, the light, and the feeling of experiencing the world from a different perspective make this moment unforgettable.
The song tells of the joy of discovery, the courage to break new ground, and how every adventure begins with a single start.
"Start into Freedom" is a musical declaration of wanderlust, joie de vivre, and the conviction that the horizon is never the end – but always the beginning of a new story.
Lyrics:
Start into Freedom The morning lies on Norderney, the wind tells of the wide sea. One last look back to the beach, then the sky carries us even more. The propeller sings its first song, the dunes slowly become small. With every meter, the feeling grows: Today anything is possible. Start into freedom, high above land and sea. The horizon knows no bounds, my heart becomes light and weightless. Start into freedom, completely with the wind. Sometimes the greatest adventure begins precisely in this moment – here and there. Below us, islands pass by, Juist, Baltrum, Langeoog in the light. The Wadden Sea glitters like silver, a sight one never forgets. An old wreck in the bright sand, two dolphins break through the sea. The wind shakes our small plane, but that's exactly what makes the journey so beautiful. The pilot smiles, everything remains calm, every gust simply belongs. One learns to trust the sky, and suddenly the heart also finds its peace. Start into freedom, high above land and sea. Every wing beat tells stories, every gust gives us so much more. Start into freedom, towards the horizon. Sometimes a small plane is enough to move big dreams. When we finally land again, the island lies still in the evening light. I know I will come back, because such moments are not forgotten. Start into freedom, a dream that continues. And every page of my life writes a new adventure song.
